This machines drivers may be old and locked down to vista but if you extract the ones that don't work out of the box and install them p55n-d this board works just fine on 8. Started up great, double check your power switch hooks up though, very hard to get it right the first time. I have had a few problems with the original P5N-D motherboard, I'm just hoping this replacement serves a little better.

Very xsustek and probably the foremost in motherboard technology. I built 3 of them and wish I had more of them they're fun to put together and they post p5n-v time with no problem.

I don't think it's the motherboard as much as the processor as I've read about this complaint on Asus blogs. Q-Connector Make connection quick and accurate! Chipset comes with its own large heatsink as well which is great to keep the heat down.

I have asustk several computers with the P5N-D motherboards and have never experienced a problem with any of them. The board looks great, and runs even better.

This item doesn't belong on this page. I'm assuming it's because the p5n-D has a nVidia chip set on it. With the highest speed up to MHz,DDR2 memory provides great performance for 3D graphics and other memory demanding applications. Users can reboot their system through the support CD when a bootable disk is not available, and go through the simple BIOS auto-recovery process.

Asus the best name in computer components out did themselves with this board Compared to DDR3 boards with the same CPU, and the ones with the newer CPU's this board is starting to get a bit old but its still able to put up one hell of a fight with current midrange gaming PC's and can still beat out most anything you can find from one of the mainstream PC makers.
